In Malamocco, summer isn’t just light and sea breeze. It’s also made of rituals passed down through generations, binding the community in a time suspended between the sacred and the festive. Summer festivals are the living soul of this village: moments of gathering, memory, and sharing. Among them, the most cherished and awaited is the Festival of the Madonna di Marina, which in 2025 will once again fill the town with its gentle and vibrant atmosphere.
This celebration, rooted in the ancient devotion of fishermen and lagoon dwellers, honours the Madonna who protects those who live by the sea, who leave and who return. Each year, on the first weekend of August, Malamocco transforms: its alleyways glow with lanterns, music fills the air, and traditional dishes bring familiar scents to every corner. The church dresses in festivity, and the boats prepare for the lagoon procession—one of the most evocative and heartfelt moments of the year.
There’s a special energy during these days: everyday rhythms slow down, giving space to genuine joy and a sense of shared belonging that includes both residents and visitors. Evenings stretch longer, laughter echoes louder, and every outdoor table becomes a chance to exchange stories, flavours and smiles.
At Relais Alberti, in the heart of the ancient village, we experience this celebration every year with deep emotion. For us, it’s not just an event—it’s a small miracle that repeats itself. A chance to make our guests feel part of something true, rooted, and meaningful. During these days, our Corte degli Agrumi opens even more to hospitality, and every detail—from slow breakfasts to lantern-lit evenings—echoes the harmony of the celebration.
If you’re dreaming of a summer escape that blends culture, beauty, and Venetian tradition, the Festival of the Madonna di Marina is a special invitation. We look forward to sharing it with you—eyes toward the sea, hearts full of belonging.
