Venice is a mosaic suspended over water, a labyrinth of emotions that reveals itself slowly, step by step, glance by glance, as you wander through the narrow streets, reflections, and muffled sounds of the lagoon. Two days may seem short, but if experienced at the right pace, they can turn into an unforgettable journey.
Here is our itinerary, designed for those seeking authenticity, quiet beauty, and the joy of discovery. We’ll be happy to help you plan everything perfectly, thanks to our partner Destination Venice, offering you a local guide and, if you wish, a vintage motorboat at your full disposal.
Day 1 – Iconic Venice, Through New Eyes
Morning
Start your day early, as the city awakens. From the Lido of Venice, take the vaporetto to St. Mark’s Square. Pause under the arcades to listen to the morning sounds, then climb the bell tower of St. Mark’s: from up there, the city will appear as a suspended vision.
Visit the Basilica, a golden chest of mosaics, and let yourself be enchanted by the silence of the Pala d’Oro.
Then wander towards Campo Santa Maria Formosa and Campo San Giovanni e Paolo: here, Venice becomes intimate, noble, and authentic.
Afternoon
Head to the Dorsoduro district, walk along the Zattere and enjoy a break with a delicious gianduiotto at Nico’s ice cream shop, with a view over the Giudecca Canal.
If you love art, a visit to the Peggy Guggenheim Collection is a must.
In the late afternoon, cross the Accademia Bridge to enjoy one of the most poetic views of the city.
Evening
Return to the Lido. Take a stroll along the seafront at sunset, then head back to Relais Alberti, in the heart of Malamocco village, for a moment of peace, among citrus scents and the warm welcome of our Locandiera.
Day 2 – Among Islands and Silence
Morning
Dedicate the second day to discovering the islands of the Lagoon.
Start in Murano, famous for its artistic glass workshops, and continue to Burano, a living painting of colorful houses, lace, and slow-paced life. Get lost in its alleys, enjoy a traditional pastry or fried seafood, and let time flow slowly.
Afternoon
Head to Torcello, the oldest island in the Lagoon. Here, time has truly stood still: visit the Cathedral of Santa Maria Assunta, with its extraordinary Byzantine mosaics, and listen to the silence—so rare elsewhere.
On your way back to the Lido, stop in Sant’Erasmo to discover a lesser-known side of the city, with its cultivated fields and vineyards that smell of earth and salt.
Evening
End your journey with an outdoor dinner in our garden, under the portico of Relais Alberti. The traditional Venetian dishes, lovingly prepared by Micaela, will tell you stories you won’t find in any guidebook.
Two days in Venice may not seem enough, but if lived with heart, they are enough to make the city feel a little like yours.
We look forward to welcoming you in Malamocco to begin this journey together.
